WordPress eSignature Plugin with Drag & Drop Feature

Description

This WordPress plugin allows users to electronically sign PDF documents within their WordPress environment. It provides a convenient drag and drop feature for placing signatures on PDF files and facilitates seamless contract requests between WordPress user accounts.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin files and extract them.
  2. Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  4. Ensure that you have a PDF library installed on your server, such as TCPDF or FPDF. This plugin relies on these libraries to manipulate PDF documents.

Usage

  1. After activating the plugin, navigate to the settings page (Settings -> eSignature) to configure the plugin.
  2. Specify the PDF library path on the settings page. This path should point to the location of the PDF library on your server.
  3. Save the settings.

Adding eSignature to a PDF Document

  1. Create or upload a PDF document to your WordPress media library.
  2. Edit the post or page where you want to add the eSignature feature.
  3. Click on the "Add Media" button above the post editor.
  4. Select the PDF document you want to add an eSignature to and click the "Insert into post" button.
  5. A shortcode will be inserted into your post or page content, representing the PDF document. For example: [esignature id="123"].

Requesting a Contract

  1. Ensure that you have at least two user accounts set up in WordPress, one for the contract sender and another for the recipient.
  2. As the sender, navigate to the page or post where you added the eSignature to the PDF document.
  3. Fill out any necessary contract details or instructions.
  4. Submit the form or send the contract request.

Reviewing and Signing the Contract

  1. As the recipient, log in to your WordPress account and navigate to the contract request.
  2. Review the contract details and click on the eSignature field to initiate the drag and drop signature feature.
  3. Drag and drop your signature onto the designated signature field.
  4. Save the signed contract.
