Advanced image management, organization, compression, and WebP conversion for WordPress Media Library.

Description

Smart ImageVault is a comprehensive WordPress plugin that supercharges your Media Library with four powerful features:

📁 Folder-Based Organization

Create, rename, and organize custom folders within your WordPress Media Library. Drag and drop images between folders for effortless organization.

📋 Clipboard Paste Upload

Copy any image with Ctrl+C and paste it directly into WordPress with Ctrl+V. Auto-generated filenames, folder selection, and progress indicators included.

🗜️ Image Compression

Compress JPEG, PNG, and WebP images while maintaining quality. Features quality slider (1-100%), batch compression, before/after size comparison, and original backup.

🔄 WebP Conversion

One-click or batch conversion of JPEG/PNG images to WebP format. Automatic browser detection serves WebP to supported browsers with original fallback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this plugin change my file URLs?

No. Smart ImageVault uses virtual folders (taxonomy-based). Your images stay in their original upload locations.

What image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. Compression works on JPEG, PNG, and WebP. WebP conversion supports JPEG and PNG sources.

Do I need ImageMagick?

No. The plugin works with PHP's GD Library (installed on most servers). ImageMagick is optional but provides better quality.

Can I restore compressed images?

Yes! When "Keep Original Images" is enabled in settings, originals are backed up and can be restored at any time.
