Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

Display a delivery suburbs dropdown on checkout or product page. This is useful for stores that only deliver to specific suburbs, and wish to streamline the checkout process accordingly.

Description

Display a delivery suburbs dropdown on WooCommerce checkout or product page. This is useful for stores that only deliver to specific suburbs, and wish to streamline the checkout process accordingly.

Features

  • Ideal for online delivery stores such as florist, food delivery etc.
  • Ensures the user chooses delivery suburb as early as possible in the process, thus avoiding unhappy customers who get all the way to checkout before realising you don't deliver to their area!
  • Fetches suburb names automatically, based on the postcodes (zip codes) you have set up in WooCommerce > Shipping Zones
  • Import/Export CSV function for those wishing to customize the suburbs list

Installation

  1. Ensure your Shipping Zones are set up correctly via WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping.
  2. Install & activate the plugin through the WordPress 'Plugins' dashboard.
  3. Visit the newly created tab WooCommerce > Delivery Suburbs
  4. Use the "Generate Suburb List" button to get the latest suburb data based on the postcodes you have set in Shipping Zones.
  5. If you need to edit the list use the export/import options on that same page

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm seeing a lot of suburbs that I definitely don't deliver to... I think they're from some other country?

You need to add your ZONE REGIONS in Shipping Zone area. Make sure this is set to your COUNTRY (not state or other region). Then go back and regenerate the suburbs list. This will fetch suburbs again, this time limiting by region.
