Matomo Simple
I was annoyed by not being able to correctly use the original WordPress-Plugin for Matomo on my webhosting provider's space. So I wrote a simple little plugin in php (quick and dirty) to integrate Matomo with my own Matomo premise installation in WordPress. This was just a couple of hours working, so it does only cover a few options...
Install
This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.
Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:
wp plugin install https://github.com/macnaileth/matomo-simple/archive/refs/heads/master.zipDescription
Your host doesn't work well with the Matomo WordPress plugin, like, for example, Ionos? Or you host your local Matomo service? This is a simplifed plugin you can use for Matomo integration into WordPress. Just install it, set server url and site id and you can go for it ;-) In current version, campaign keyword support is not included.
