This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/lhero-org/lh-copy-to-draft/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Description

Adds a single, no-configuration “Copy to draft” action for posts, pages, and custom post types. Selecting it creates a draft duplicate of the item and takes you straight to editing that draft.

By design this plugin has no settings screen and no options — it does one thing, decisively, for every applicable post type. Products (product post type) are excluded by default, via a filter.

  • Bulk Action “Copy to draft” on every applicable post type's list table — one item copied redirects straight to its edit screen; multiple items stay on the list table.
  • A lh_copy_to_draft() template tag and a “more” action modal link for single-post copying from the front end.
  • An MCP ability (lh-copy-to-draft/copy-post) for programmatic/agent-driven copying, supporting per-item custom overrides.
  • An extensibility hook (lh_copy_to_draft_after_duplicate_post) for plugins that store post-related data outside postmeta.

Installation

  1. Upload the lh-copy-to-draft folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or upload the plugin zip from Plugins > Add New.
  2. Activate the plugin from the Plugins screen.
