KS News

KS News adds a dedicated news post type to WordPress. News content has its own hierarchical categories (news_category) and non-hierarchical tags (news_tag), so its terms never mix with regular post categories or tags.

Install

No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:

Installation

Copy ks-news into wp-content/plugins.
Run composer install --no-dev --optimize-autoloader in the plugin directory if vendor/ is not included in the package.
Activate KS News in WordPress.
Add content under News in the admin menu.

Activation registers the routes and flushes rewrite rules. Deactivation removes only the runtime registrations; it never deletes news, categories, or tags.
