Search has changed. People ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews, and those engines quote the pages that answer clearly, cite their sources and can be crawled. PSEOEWP is built for that first (AEO and GEO), and does everything a classic SEO plugin does as well. Every feature is free. There are no upsells, no nags and no custom database tables.

What it does

Answer engines and AI search (AEO, GEO)

• AI readiness audit on every post: direct answer near the top, question headings, lists and tables, cited sources, freshness, crawler access, title and description. A 0 to 100 score with the exact fix for each check.
• Short answer field: 40 to 60 words an engine can quote as they are.
• AI crawler policy by purpose: allow or block training, AI search and assistant fetches separately (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, CCBot, Meta and more), with an optional Content-Signal line.
• AI visibility analytics: visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot users with the pages they landed on (counted by a same-site beacon, so page caches do not hide them), and AI and search crawler visits by purpose for 30 days. All stored on your site.
• Markdown copy of every page at the same address plus .md, linked for agents, marked noindex with the page as canonical.
• llms.txt and llms-full.txt, built from your content or written by you.

Classic SEO

• Titles and meta descriptions with templates, canonical URLs, robots (noindex, nofollow, nosnippet, max-snippet, max-image-preview), Open Graph and X cards.
• One linked schema graph: WebSite, Organization or Person, WebPage, BreadcrumbList and Article, open to other plugins through a filter.
• Breadcrumbs: block, shortcode and template function, from the same trail as the schema.
• Sitemaps: tunes WordPress core's sitemap (drops noindex content, chosen types, the users sitemap).
• Redirects (301, 302, 307, 308, 410, regex), a 404 log, and automatic redirects when a page address changes.
• IndexNow for Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and Yep (opt in).

Built for agents

• WordPress Abilities API: 11 abilities (get, update and bulk update SEO, set the short answer, audit, redirects, AI crawler report, settings), usable through the MCP Adapter or the REST API.
• Pairs with WordPress MCP from the same developer: when both are active, your AI assistant reads and writes PSEOEWP directly and gains AI readiness, short answer and AI visibility tools. See docs/PAIRING.md.

No migration

PSEOEWP reads titles, descriptions, canonicals, robots and social fields saved by Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress as they are, including their template variables. It only writes its own _pseoewp_* keys and never changes or deletes another plugin's data. When another SEO plugin is active, PSEOEWP prints nothing in the page head, so you never get duplicate tags.

Requirements

WordPress 6.9 or later (for the Abilities API), PHP 7.4 or later.

Install

Download the latest release zip, then Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin. Or copy the folder to wp-content/plugins/pseoewp.

Privacy

PSEOEWP sends nothing anywhere unless you turn on IndexNow, which sends the addresses of changed pages to api.indexnow.org. AI referral counting stores only the source, the day and the landing path, on your site, with no cookies.
