This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

Updates itself. It ships its own updater (Plugin Update Checker), so new versions appear under Dashboard → Updates.

KISS Maintenance Mode Splash (BETA)

KISS = Keep It Simple (Stupid)
Our plugins are designed to do just one thing—and do it very well.

The KISS Maintenance Mode Splash plugin provides a clean, user-controlled splash page without upsells, freemium blocks, or unnecessary bloat. What you see is what you get.

🛠️ Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP from git repository.
  2. In your WordPress Admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
  4. After installation, click Activate Plugin.

⚙️ Configuration

After activation, navigate to:

Settings > Maintenance Mode Splash

Available Settings

  • Enable Maintenance Mode
    Toggle to show or hide the splash page for non-logged-in users.

  • Splash Image
    Upload or select an image (recommended size: 500x500px). The field is read-only to enforce using the media library.

  • Headline Text
    Enter custom text (default: Under Construction).

  • Headline Font Size
    Numeric only (e.g., 100 for 100px). Defaults to 100px.

  • Headline Font Family
    Choose from the available theme fonts.

  • Headline Alignment
    Options: Left, Center, or Right.

  • Contact Text
    Supports HTML. Example:
    Email us at <a href="mailto:info@company.com">info@company.com</a>

  • Contact Font Size
    Numeric only (e.g., 16 for 16px). Defaults to 16px.

  • Contact Font Family
    Choose from your theme's available fonts.

  • Contact Alignment
    Options: Left, Center, or Right.

  • Background Color
    Use the color picker or enter a hex code (e.g., #ffffff).

Saving Settings

Click Save Changes after editing settings. If Maintenance Mode is enabled, test the splash screen in a private/incognito window and clear browser/server cache if needed.

👁️ Viewing the Splash Page

  • Logged-In Users (roles: Administrator, Editor, Author, Shop Manager):
    The full site remains visible.

  • Other Users / Visitors:
    The splash page appears if Maintenance Mode is enabled.

To test, use an Incognito/Private browser window while logged out.

🚫 Disabling Maintenance Mode

To disable:
Uncheck Enable Maintenance Mode and click Save Changes.
