This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/kernix13/word-count-read-time/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Word Count and Readtime Plugin for WordPress https://github.com/Kernix13/word-count-plugin.git A simple plugin that returns the character and word count for blog posts, as well as the average read time. The settings for the plugin are under the Settings menu. You have the option to select, characters, words, and readtime or to deslect any of those options.
