Install

No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:

wp plugin install https://github.com/jvanstone/featured-menu-item/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

Ships its own WordPress updater (Update URI header), so new versions show up under Dashboard → Updates.

Using shortcode post a feature product item based on the day of the week.

How to display

Add the shortcode [feature-menu-item] to whatever page you want to showcase the feature product for the day of the week.

Add the shortcode [featured-menu-daily feature-day="choose-day"] to and use a user generated tag to show a paticular product.

feature- ex. feature-monday
