This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/joelgratcyk/woocommerce-empty-cart-redirect/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Redirects users to the shop page when the cart is empty and they click on the cart.

Description

This WooCommerce plugin enhances user experience by redirecting users to the shop page when they click on the cart and it's empty. If there are items in the cart, the plugin does nothing.

Installation

  1. Download the Plugin:

    • Download the plugin files from this GitHub repository.

  2. Upload to WordPress:

    • Navigate to your WordPress admin panel.
    • Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
    • Upload the downloaded plugin ZIP file and click Install Now.

  3. Activate the Plugin:

    • After installation, click Activate Plugin.

Usage

  • Empty Cart: When the cart is empty and a user clicks on the cart icon/link, they will be redirected to the shop page.
  • Non-Empty Cart: If there are items in the cart, clicking on the cart icon/link will display the cart contents as usual.
