Kingsland Tour Packages

A WordPress plugin for travel agencies to publish structured tour packages, display them through Elementor, and collect WhatsApp or email inquiries.

Installation

1. Copy the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/.
2. Activate Kingsland Tour Packages.
3. Open Tour Packages → Settings and set the inquiry email and optional WhatsApp number.
4. Create or edit a package under Tour Packages.
5. Use the Elementor widgets on listing pages if required.

Hotel image workflow

1. Media Library searches existing media or uploads a new image.
2. Search web opens an image search for the current hotel name and location.
3. Import URL downloads a permitted direct .jpg, .png, or .webp URL into the WordPress Media Library.

Remote imports require upload permission, a valid nonce, a public HTTP(S) URL, a supported image type, and a maximum file size of 5 MB. Editors must use only images they are allowed to publish.

Email delivery

Inquiry forms use WordPress wp_mail(). Configure delivery through the host or a standard SMTP plugin. Kingsland Tour Packages does not store an SMTP password.

Content safety

Uninstalling removes plugin contact settings and legacy stored mail credentials. It intentionally preserves tour-package posts, categories, and media.

Documentation files

• README.md is the GitHub and developer-facing project guide.
• readme.txt uses the WordPress.org plugin-directory format and supplies listing metadata, screenshots, FAQs, service disclosures, and the public changelog.

Both files are intentionally kept because they serve different publishing systems.

Remaining release checklist

The plugin code and installable ZIP are ready. Before a public WordPress.org submission:

• Run the official Plugin Check on a clean staging installation.
• Verify the optional Elementor widgets against the target site's current Elementor version.
• Add WordPress.org banner and icon artwork; the three listing screenshots are already prepared in wordpress-org-assets/.
• Configure production email delivery through the host or an SMTP plugin and perform one real callback-email test.
• submit the source through the WordPress.org SVN workflow when the listing is approved.
