This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/jenss/sendy-newsletter-signup/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A privacy-focused WordPress/ClassicPress plugin for adding newsletter signup forms that connect to your self-hosted Sendy installation.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0+ or ClassicPress 1.4+
  • PHP 7.4+
  • A self-hosted Sendy installation

Installation

From GitHub

  1. Download the latest release
  2. Upload to /wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate in WordPress/ClassicPress admin
  4. Go to Settings > Sendy Newsletter

From ClassicPress Directory

  1. Install the ClassicPress Directory Integration plugin
  2. Search for "Sendy Newsletter Signup"
  3. Install and activate

Configuration

  1. Navigate to Settings > Sendy Newsletter
  2. Enter your Sendy installation URL (e.g., https://sendy.yourdomain.com)
  3. Enter your API Key (found in Sendy > Settings)
  4. Enter your Brand ID (found in Sendy > Brands)
  5. Click Test Connection
  6. Go to the Shortcode Generator tab and copy your shortcode

Usage

Shortcode

[sendy_form list="YOUR_LIST_ID"]

With options:

[sendy_form list="abc123" show_name="true" gdpr="true" captcha="true" button_text="Subscribe"]

Gutenberg Block

Search for "Sendy Newsletter" in the block inserter and select your list from the dropdown.
