This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/jeffreyvr/vimeo-video-links/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Simple WordPress plugin that provides you with shortcodes to get a download url of a Vimeo Video.

Vimeo API

To allow for the plugin to interact with Vimeo's API, you must fill in the credentials in Settings --> Vimeo Video Links.

Shortcodes

For all shortcodes, the quality attribute is optional.

The link and button shortcodes, will fetch the Vimeo download url through an ajax request. This is to prevent the Vimeo URL, which is valid for 24 hours, to be cached by a caching plugin - causing invalid url's.
