This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/jaywood/delete-users-extra-output/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Just an idea I had on my lunch break today. Reference track ticket #31945 for details surrounding the issue.

This is by no means a dead set solution, just proof of concept, feel free to fork this and change how you see fit.
