This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/jamesbrooksco/full-width-text-blocks/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A WordPress Gutenberg plugin with full-width, single-line text blocks that scale to fill their container.

Blocks

  1. Headline Banner - Large bold text with background color picker
  2. Marquee Text - CSS animated scrolling text with speed control
  3. Accent Title - Text with decorative underline
  4. Quote Strip - Semantic blockquote with attribution

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.3+
  • Node.js 18+

Development

npm install
npm start    # Watch mode
npm run build  # Production build

Installation

  1. Build the plugin: npm install && npm run build
  2. Copy the entire folder to wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate in WordPress admin

Features

  • Text scales to fill container width using JS + data attributes
  • Fluid typography with clamp() for responsive sizing
  • Single-line text (white-space: nowrap)
  • Uses @wordpress/scripts build pipeline
