DolPress

DolPress is a DolDoc-inspired WordPress editor that replaces Gutenberg with one continuous, keyboard-driven document. Write raw `$XX,...$` source or use an interactive rendered mode, insert dynamic WordPress data through safe allowlisted commands, and render securely on the frontend - without arbitrary PHP, JS, SQL, or shell execution.

No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:

DolDoc-inspired document editor for WordPress by Nought Digital. Inspired by TempleOS DolDoc; not TempleOS and not a HolyC runtime.

== Description ==

DolPress replaces Gutenberg and the Classic Editor for selected public post types with one continuous document. Authors write DolPress source using $XX,...$ commands, switch between source, rendered, and split modes, and publish through native WordPress save, revision, preview, and REST workflows.

DolPress is inspired by TempleOS DolDoc. It is not an emulator, does not run HolyC, and does not execute PHP, JavaScript, SQL, or shell from document source. Original .DD files are not guaranteed to import unchanged.

= Commands =

Presentation: TX, CR, FG, BG, UL, IV, HL, LK, BT, TR, IM, HR. Layout: SR, TB, PB, PL, LM, RM, HD, FO, ID, FD, BD, WW, BK, SX, SY, CM, AN, MK, CU, PT, CL. Widgets: DA, CB, LS, MU, HX. Macros: MA. Media: SP, SO, HC (HC is kses-filtered and off by default). WordPress: WS, WG, WT, WA, WN, WL, WP, WC, WX, WM, WB.

Trees use native $TR$ plus $ID$ indent scope, or the DolPress $/TR$ closer. Links accept URL= or DolDoc A= types (FI, FA, FF, FL, MN, AN). Address-eval AD: is rejected. Macros map to allowlisted actions only.

= Recovery =

  • Settings > DolPress > Emergency disable restores the native editor.
  • Administrators can open a post with a capability- and nonce-protected safe-mode link from the editor toolbar.
  • Deactivation restores Gutenberg or Classic Editor. Posts are never deleted.

== Installation ==

  1. Upload the DolPress ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  2. Activate DolPress.
  3. Open Settings > DolPress to choose post types, limits, caching, and emergency disable.
  4. Edit a post or page. DolPress loads instead of Gutenberg for enabled types.
