This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

A free careers page for your website: post jobs, accept applications with resume upload, and review candidates in a recruiter dashboard.

Description

GenZ Job Portal adds a complete careers section to your WordPress site. Post job openings, let candidates apply through a detailed application form, and review every application in a clean Recruiter Panel inside wp-admin.

Everything is stored on your own site. The plugin makes no calls to external services.

Features

  • Job board with the [genzjp_job_board] shortcode: a list of open positions with pagination, and a detail page with the application form for each job.
  • Detailed application form: personal and contact details, address, resume upload (PDF or DOCX), photo, cover letter, and repeatable sections for skills, education and work experience.
  • International by default: names and places in any alphabet, a "State / Province" field, international degree levels and currencies.
  • Optional regional fields: switch on national ID expiry date, father’s / guardian’s name, city of birth and the Matric / Intermediate degree levels, common on job applications in Pakistan and South Asia.
  • Recruiter Panel: filter candidates by job, gender, city and nationality, search by name or email, sort, view the full application and download the resume.
  • Email notifications to the site admin for each new application, and a confirmation email to the applicant.
  • Secure uploads: resumes and photos go to their own folder with script execution disabled.
  • Duplicate protection: one application per email address for each job.

GenZ Job Portal Pro

A separate, optional add-on for teams that hire often adds candidate shortlisting and rejecting with status tabs, bulk status changes, CSV export and print-ready application PDFs. It is available from genzcoders.com. The free plugin is complete on its own and does not limit the number of jobs or applications.

Installation

  1. Install the plugin from Plugins → Add New, or upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.
  3. Create jobs under Job Board → Add New Job.
  4. Add the [genzjp_job_board] shortcode to the page where you want your job listings, for example a "Careers" page.
  5. Optional: choose which applicant fields to ask for under Job Board → Settings.
  6. Review applications under Recruiter Panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit on jobs or applications?

No. Post as many jobs and receive as many applications as you like.

Where are resumes and photos stored?

In a separate wp-content/uploads/job-board-resumes/ folder, outside the Media Library, with script execution disabled in that folder.

Can I use it for jobs outside Pakistan or South Asia?

Yes. The form is international by default. The regional fields (ID expiry, father’s name, city of birth, Matric / Intermediate degrees) are off until you switch them on in Job Board → Settings.

I used version 1.0 with the [job_board] shortcode. Do I need to change anything?

No. Version 1.1 moves your existing jobs and applications to the new names automatically, and [job_board] keeps working unless another plugin uses the same shortcode. New pages should use [genzjp_job_board].

What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?

Deleting the plugin (not just deactivating it) removes its settings, all job postings and applications, and the uploaded resume and photo files.
