Description

SI Meta Engine gives a lightweight, dynamic, and comprehensive experience for article metadata in WordPress with responsive drag-and-drop profile builder. SI Meta Engine reads WordPress core metadata and plugin metadata, then renders configurable layouts without modifying WordPress core data.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Does this plugin modify my post content in the database?

No. SI Meta Engine never writes into post_content. It renders metadata purely through WordPress display filters at request time, so disabling or uninstalling the plugin leaves your content untouched.

Can I use WordPress' default output instead of SI Meta Engine on a specific post?

Yes. Every post has a "Metadata Rendering Rule" control in its SI Meta Engine meta box, letting you force WordPress core default, force SI Meta Engine, or follow the global setting — independent of every other post.

Will this slow down my site?

Meta is rendered on-demand from cached WordPress data (post meta, taxonomies, etc.) with no external requests, so overhead is minimal.

Where are meta profiles stored?

Profiles and settings are stored in the WordPress options table (si_meta_engine_settings, si_meta_engine_profiles) and are fully removed on uninstall.

  1. Upload the 'si-meta-engine' directory to the '/wp-content/plugins/' directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.

  3. Go to SI Meta Engine in your WordPress admin menu to configure profiles and settings.
