Version 1.9.0

What it does

Adds the WordPress Ability ishi/generate-booking-link and generates a signed customer-facing LatePoint booking page.

The booking-link logic from v1.7.0 is preserved. The customer-facing page now uses LatePoint's own Instant clean-page presentation system.

If the LatePoint Short.io helper is available, the plugin attempts to shorten the signed URL. If Short.io is unavailable or shortening fails, the signed long URL remains the valid fallback.

Booking attribute precedence

Every supported LatePoint booking-form attribute follows one precedence rule:

  1. Customer/tool-supplied non-empty value
  2. Saved plugin configuration non-empty value
  3. No value: omit the attribute entirely and let LatePoint apply its own native behavior

All booking-attribute configuration fields default to blank.

The plugin intentionally does not guess, duplicate, or hard-code LatePoint defaults.

Date and time behavior

selected_start_date follows this precedence:

  1. Explicit customer/tool selected_start_date
  2. Confirmed customer appointment date
  3. Saved selected_start_date setting
  4. Omitted so LatePoint decides

The operational confirmed start_time is NOT automatically passed as selected_start_time. This keeps LatePoint's Date & Time step available.

selected_start_time follows this precedence:

  1. Explicit customer/tool selected_start_time
  2. Saved selected_start_time setting
  3. Omitted so LatePoint decides

Instant page presentation

WordPress Admin → Settings → Ishi LatePoint Instant → Instant Page Design

The signed booking page uses LatePoint's own clean-page shell:

  • html.latepoint-clean
  • body.latepoint-clean-body.with-pattern.latepoint
  • .latepoint-w
  • OsUtilHelper::generate_css_for_clean_layout()
  • OsUtilHelper::generate_js_for_clean_layout()

The background selector uses LatePoint's own OsSettingsHelper::instant_page_background_patterns() registry.

There are 20 visual choices in the installed LatePoint version:

  • Default
  • pattern_1 through pattern_19

The background design is presentation-only. It is not added to the LatePoint booking shortcode and does not participate in booking-attribute precedence.

Supported booking-form settings

  • selected_service
  • selected_agent
  • selected_location
  • selected_bundle
  • selected_duration
  • selected_total_attendees
  • selected_service_category
  • selected_start_date
  • selected_start_time
  • calendar_start_date
  • show_locations
  • show_agents
  • show_services
  • show_service_categories
  • hide_side_panel
  • hide_summary
  • service_display_mode
  • source_id

Booking data is JSON-encoded, Base64URL-encoded, and protected with an HMAC-SHA256 signature derived from the WordPress authentication salt.

The payload is signed for integrity, not encrypted. Personally sensitive customer data should not be added to the token unless the design is changed accordingly.

Internal rename and compatibility

Version 1.9.0 completes the plugin rebrand from Ishi LatePoint Booking Link Ability to Ishi LatePoint Instant.

Internal identifiers now use the Ishi LatePoint Instant namespace, including the plugin slug, main PHP class, settings option, settings group, admin page slug, text domain, and primary filters.

For backward compatibility:

  • the public Ability ID ishi/generate-booking-link is intentionally unchanged;
  • the Ability category ID ishi-booking is intentionally unchanged;
  • saved settings are automatically migrated from ishi_latepoint_booking_link_settings to ishi_latepoint_instant_settings;
  • legacy filters remain available after the new Instant-named filters.
