Adds a New view to the Add Plugins screen using the WordPress.org plugins API.

Description

With over 60,000 plugins in the WordPress.org repository, it can be difficult to discover new plugins.

The Add Plugins screen in the WordPress dashboard has a number of browse views to help users find plugins, but there is no dedicated view for recently added plugins.

This plugin adds a New tab to the Add Plugins screen that uses the WordPress.org plugins API to display recently added plugins.

It uses WordPress core's existing plugin installer table and WordPress.org plugin API integration. It does not add a separate settings screen.

Installation

  1. Install and Activate it like any other plugin.
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New.
  3. Click on New.
