This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/ikoanti/wp_keywords/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

WP Keywords Plugin

It's important to note that adding meta keywords to your website's source code no longer influences SEO rankings. Search engines like Google have not used the meta keywords tag as a ranking factor for many years.

However, if your boss or client still insists on adding meta keywords, the WP Keywords Plugin can assist. This plugin allows you to add keywords tag for all of your published posts and adds them into your blog's meta tags.

Installation

Download the Plugin:
    Clone the repository or download the ZIP file from the GitHub repository.

Upload to WordPress:
    Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
    Upload the wp_keywords.zip file and click Install Now.

Activate the Plugin:
    After installation, click Activate to enable the plugin on your site.

Usage

Enter Keywords Manually:
    When creating or editing a post, locate the Meta Keywords field (usually found in the post editor).
    Enter the keywords you want to associate with the post, separated by commas.

Save & Publish:
    Click Update or Publish to save the keywords.
    The plugin will automatically insert the <meta name="keywords" content="your-keywords-here"> tag into the <head> section of that specific post.
