WooCommerce Review Center is a WordPress admin plugin for managing WooCommerce product reviews from one focused screen. It lets store administrators add reviews manually, bulk-import reviews from JSON, edit existing reviews, and delete reviews without leaving the WooCommerce product admin area.

The plugin is built for internal store operations, migrations, seed data, QA environments, and controlled review management workflows.

Features

  • Add WooCommerce product reviews manually from the WordPress admin.
  • Select a product and view its existing reviews in a dedicated review manager.
  • Edit reviewer name, email, rating, review content, date, approval status, and verified-owner status.
  • Delete reviews with an AJAX-powered admin action.
  • Bulk-import reviews from a JSON array.
  • Attach imported reviews to the selected product or provide product_id per JSON row.
  • Use import field aliases such as name, author, review, comment, date_gmt, and created_at.
  • Validate product IDs, reviewer names, content, ratings, and email addresses before writing reviews.
  • Clear WooCommerce review transients after create, update, import, or delete actions.
  • Restrict access to users with the moderate_comments capability.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer
  • WooCommerce 6.0 or newer
  • A WordPress user with permission to moderate comments

For local development, you also need:

  • Node.js 18 or newer
  • pnpm
  • Docker

  2. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload woo-review-center.zip and activate the plugin.
  4. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
  5. Open Products -> Review Manager.

Upload to your server

Upload or extract the plugin directory to your WordPress plugins folder:

wp-content/plugins/woo-review-center

Then activate it from WordPress admin:

wp plugin activate woo-review-center

Usage

Open the review manager from:

Products -> Review Manager

Select a WooCommerce product from the product picker. After selecting a product, you can add a new review, import reviews from JSON, edit existing reviews, or delete reviews.

Add a review

Use the Add a review form to enter:

  • Reviewer name
  • Optional email address
  • Review content
  • Rating from 1 to 5
  • Review date
  • Approval status
  • Verified-owner status

Submit the form to create the review for the selected product.

Import reviews from JSON

Use Bulk import from JSON to paste a JSON array of review objects:

[
  {
    "reviewer_name": "Anna K.",
    "email": "anna@example.com",
    "content": "Great product!",
    "rating": 5,
    "date": "2026-05-20 14:30:00",
    "verified": true,
    "approved": true
  },
  {
    "product_id": 42,
    "name": "Marek",
    "review": "Decent.",
    "rating": 3
  }
]

If a row does not include product_id, the plugin attaches that review to the product selected in the review manager.
