Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/genexlance/gpslider/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

GPslider - Generate Press Image Slider

Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New
  3. Click "Upload Plugin" and select the ZIP file
  4. Activate the plugin

Usage

  1. Create or edit a post/page in the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg)
  2. Search for "GP Slider" in the block inserter or find it in the GenerateBlocks category
  3. Add the block to your content
  4. Click the "Add Slide" button to upload images to your slider
  5. Configure slider options in the Block Settings sidebar

Configuration Options

Slider Settings

  • Animation Type: Choose between fade or slide animations
  • Slide Interval: Time between automatic slide transitions (in milliseconds)
  • Auto Play: Enable/disable automatic slide transitions
  • Enable Parallax Effect: Add a parallax movement effect to images
  • Parallax Amount: Control the intensity of the parallax effect
  • Slider Height: Height of the slider (e.g., 400px, 50vh)
  • Slider Width: Width of the slider (e.g., 100%, 800px)

Navigation Settings

  • Show Navigation Arrows: Display prev/next navigation arrows
  • Arrow Color: Change the color of navigation arrows
  • Arrow Size: Adjust the size of navigation arrows
  • Arrow Background: Customize the background of navigation arrows

Individual Slide Options

  • Link URL: Set a link for an individual slide

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.6 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher
  • GeneratePress theme (recommended but not required)
