This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/gauderio-plugins/editors-can-manage-options/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Temporarily grants the manage_options capability to Editors.

Description

By default, some plugins require the manage_options capability (usually restricted to Administrators) during their initial connection and configuration.

This plugin temporarily addresses that limitation. When activated, it grants the manage_options capability to the Editor role. Once your Editor user completes the configuration, simply deactivate this plugin to remove the permission, to make sure your site's security remains intact.

Installation

  1. Upload the editors-can-manage-options folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the ZIP file directly via Plugins > Add New.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.
  3. Have your Editor user complete the setup process.
  4. Deactivate the plugin immediately after configuration to maintain your site's security.
