Install

No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:

wp plugin install https://github.com/fareed-rifaideen-ecom/git-deploy-manager/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

A professional deployment tool enabling automated, zero downtime updates from GitHub repositories directly to WordPress environments.

Clean structure. Controlled deployments. GitHub connected workflow.

Background and Objective

I developed this tool to make life easier for developers who need a reliable way to pull code from GitHub straight to WordPress.

The project was initiated to address the complexities and risks associated with updating custom WordPress extensions on live environments. Traditional methods, such as manual FTP uploads or direct live file editing, are prone to human error and unexpected downtime.

Git Deploy Manager bridges the gap between enterprise CI/CD platforms and standard WordPress setups. It provides an automated, secure pipeline that executes version-controlled updates with built-in safety mechanisms, ensuring website stability during the deployment process.

Overview

Git Deploy Manager is a custom WordPress plugin built to support repository-based deployment workflows in a clear and maintainable way.

The project follows a modular architecture so that admin features, settings, deployment logic, GitHub integration, webhook handling, and logging are separated into focused components. This makes the plugin easier to extend, debug, and maintain over time.

Features

  • WordPress admin interface for deployment-related management
  • Modular plugin architecture using dedicated class files
  • Settings management for plugin configuration
  • Deployment service for handling workflow operations
  • GitHub integration support
  • Webhook controller for external trigger handling
  • Logging support for debugging and monitoring
  • Organized project structure for long-term development
