This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/encodedothost/lap-matomo-http-api/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A custom WordPress plugin to implement server side tracking to send user page views via php

Usage

You will need to add your tracking URL and SiteID to Settings => Matomo Server Side Tracking Additionally, you will need to generate an Authentication Token within Matomo that has write permissions for the SiteID. This allows the website visitors IP address to be collected and sent.

Debugging

There is an option to turn on debugging with will add a html element to the top of the front of your website.
