This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/empirextech/empire-cookie-consent-wp/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Original EMPIREX module. Not a client dump. Not a legal opinion — your privacy policy URL still belongs in Settings.

What it does

  • Banner until empire_cookie_consent is set (necessary | all)
  • window.empireCookieAnalytics is 0 or 1 in wp_head
  • Gate third-party scripts with if (window.empireCookieAnalytics) { ... }
  • Event empire-cookie-consent after a choice
  • 180-day SameSite=Lax cookie

Install

  1. Download the ZIP from Empire Shop (free) or clone this repo
  2. Plugins → Upload → Activate
  3. Settings → Empire Cookie (privacy URL, language)
