This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/elishv/bot-control-lite/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Bot Control – Crawler, AI Agent & Scraper Manager (WordPress.org edition)

The free, GPL-2.0-or-later edition of Bot Control – Crawler, AI Agent & Scraper Manager for the WordPress.org plugin directory (proposed slug: bot-control, text domain: bot-control).

  • No licence check, no custom updater, no calls home without opt-in. Updates come from WordPress.org only.
  • .wordpress-org/ holds the directory assets (banners, icons, screenshots) for the SVN /assets folder. It is not part of the plugin zip.
  • .distignore lists what is left out of the plugin zip.
  • Seeded from elishv/bot-control wporg/readiness d99a969 (PR #2) without its history.

Status: not yet submitted to WordPress.org. Names are working names pending the owner's decision.
