APS XF Stripper

Strips Yamaha XF instructions from MIDI files. This is useful specifically for preparing MIDI files downloaded from Yamaha's website for newer (E3 and later) Disklaviers. Included in APS MIDI Prep Tool.

This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/diskchord/aps-xf-stripper/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

APS XF Stripper 1.1

Install the ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, activate it, and place this shortcode on a page:

[aps_xf_stripper]

The plugin accepts up to 50 .mid or .midi files at once. It removes appended Yamaha XF chunks and internal FF 7F sequencer-specific metadata, rebuilds each track, and offers individual downloads plus a ZIP when PHP's ZipArchive extension is available.

Normal MIDI events, tempo, track structure, SysEx, and continuous pedal data are preserved. Temporary files expire after approximately 24 hours.
