This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/designcart/dc-webp/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Automatic image conversion to WebP format on first display. If the image doesn’t exist in WebP version — it will be generated automatically.

Description

DC Webp automatically converts JPEG and PNG images to WebP format the first time they are displayed.
If a WebP version already exists, it will be used immediately.
Lightweight and fully automatic — no settings needed.

Installation

Upload the dc-webp folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the DC Webp plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
Images will automatically start converting to WebP format on first load.
