This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/denzigns/denzigns-global-info/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
Updates itself. It ships its own updater, so new versions appear under Dashboard → Updates.

Create reusable global info shortcodes and insert them anywhere on the site.

Description

Global Info lets you define fields once — business name, phone, email, logos, brand colors, social links, addresses, and more — then insert them anywhere using a simple shortcode.

Shortcode format: [gi key="business_name"] [gi key="phone" link="true"] [gi key="email" link="true"] [gi key="logo_dark" size="medium" class="site-logo"] [gi key="tagline" fallback="Welcome"] [gi key="address" format="schema"]

Field types supported:

  • Text
  • Phone (auto-links with tel: when link="true")
  • Email (auto-links with mailto: when link="true")
  • URL (auto-links when link="true")
  • Image (WP Media Library; supports attachment ID or raw URL)
  • Textarea
  • Color (outputs hex value)
  • HTML (raw HTML snippet, kses sanitized)
  • Social (platform-aware link with data-platform attribute)

  • Groups to organize fields (Branding, Contact, Social, etc.)
  • Drag-to-reorder fields within and between groups
  • Quick-copy shortcode button on every field

STEP 1 — Bump the version number in two places

  1. denzigns-global-info.php → Version: X.X.X
  2. denzigns-global-info.php → define( 'DGI_VERSION', 'X.X.X' )

STEP 2 — Version number convention Bug fix → 1.0.0 → 1.0.1 New feature → 1.0.0 → 1.1.0 Major update → 1.0.0 → 2.0.0

STEP 3 — Zip and upload to GitHub

  1. Zip the entire denzigns-global-info folder
  2. Go to: https://github.com/denzigns/denzigns-global-info/releases
  3. Click "Draft a new release"
  4. Click "Choose a tag" → type vX.X.X → "Create new tag"
  5. Set the Release title to vX.X.X
  6. Optionally describe what changed
  7. Drag your denzigns-global-info.zip into the binaries box
  8. Click "Publish release"

STEP 4 — Done All client sites update automatically within 12 hours. No manual work needed on any site. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
