Blog Feed Widget for Question2Answer

A powerful and lightweight blog feed widget for Question2Answer (Q2A) that allows you to display the latest posts from any WordPress website directly inside your Q2A community.

📦 Installation

  1. Download the latest release from the Releases section.

  2. Extract the ZIP file.

  3. Upload the folder:

    qa-blogfeed-widget

    into your Q2A installation directory:

    /qa-plugin/
  4. Go to your Q2A Admin Panel → Plugins

  5. Activate Blog Feed Widget


⚙️ Configuration

After activating the plugin:

  1. Go to Admin → Blog Feed Settings

  2. Enter your WordPress site URL
    Example:

    https://example.com

    (Do NOT add /feed — it is added automatically.)

  3. Configure your options:

    • Number of latest posts
    • Excerpt length
    • Enable/Disable "Read More" button
    • Enable/Disable "Read All" button
    • Select color mode (Auto or Force Light)
  4. Click Save Settings


📍 Displaying the Widget

After configuring:

  1. Go to Admin → Layout
  2. Locate Blog Feed Widget
  3. Select the position where you want it to appear
  4. Save layout changes

The widget will now appear in your selected location on the frontend.

If it does not appear immediately, clear your cache and refresh the page.


🎨 Color Modes

  • Auto Mode follows the visitor’s device theme (light/dark).
  • Force Light Mode ensures a consistent white background with readable text regardless of device settings.

🌍 Compatibility

  • Works with Question2Answer 1.8+
  • Compatible with most Q2A themes
  • Works with any standard WordPress RSS feed
  • No WordPress plugin required
  • No API keys required
