GD WebP Converter

After uploaded an image it will be converted to WebP format using the GD image engine. If the file is deleted from the Media Library the created WebP conversions will also be deleted.

Install

Download fully_compiled.zip From the 1.0.0 release on GitHub, Feb 14, 2023

Upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/copiadigital/gd-webp-converter/releases/download/1.0.0/fully_compiled.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.
