Installation
Automatic Installation
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New
- Search for "DeClutterDash" on your device.
- Click Install Now and then Activate
Manual Installation
- Download the plugin files
- Upload files to
/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress
Configuration
After activation, the plugin works immediately with default settings. To customize the appearance:
- Navigate to Settings > Menu Dropdown
- Adjust the following options:
Button Settings
- Button Size - Choose between Small, Medium, or Large for pinned buttons
- Button Background Color - Set the background color for pinned buttons
- Button Text Color - Set the text color for pinned buttons
Navbar Settings
- Navbar Background Color - Customize the navbar container background
- Quick Access Button Background - Set background color for quick access buttons
- Quick Access Button Text - Set text color for quick access buttons
Badge Settings
- Show Badges - Enable/disable notification badges on menu items
- Badge Color - Customize the color of notification badges
Click Save Settings to apply your changes.
Usage
Using the Dropdown Menu
- Click the Menu button in the navbar
- Browse through all available menu items with icons
- Click any item to navigate to that page
- Use the + button next to items to pin them to the navbar
Pinning Menu Items
- Open the dropdown menu
- Hover over any menu item
- Click the + button that appears
- The item will be added to your navbar as a pinned button
Reordering Pinned Items
- Click and drag any pinned button
- Drop it in your desired position
- The new order is automatically saved
Removing Pinned Items
- Hover over a pinned button in the navbar
- Click the × icon that appears
- The item will be removed from your navbar
Slide-Out Menu
- Click the ☰ (hamburger) icon in the navbar
- Browse the full menu in the slide-out panel
- Click items with submenus to expand them
- Click the × or press ESC to close
Quick Access Buttons
The navbar includes quick access buttons for:
- Plugins - Direct access to the plugins page
- Site Health - Quick link to site health status
- Themes - Instant access to theme management

Notification Badges
The plugin automatically displays badges for:
- Pending comments awaiting moderation
- Available plugin updates
- Core WordPress updates
- Pending posts and pages
Badge counts update in real-time and can be toggled on/off in settings.
Menu Hierarchy
Parent menu items are clearly marked with a "-" suffix, while child items are prefixed with "- " for easy identification of menu structure.
