Installation

1. Download the latest release from the Releases page
2. Upload to your WordPress site via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
3. Activate the plugin
4. Go to Settings → Cookie Consent to configure

Configuration

Navigate to Settings → Cookie Consent in your WordPress admin to configure:

• Banner Text: Customize the consent message
• Button Labels: Customize Accept, Reject, and Settings button text
• Colors: Match the banner to your site's design
• Position: Choose bottom or top banner placement
• Categories: Enable/disable Analytics, Marketing, and Functional cookie categories
• Auto-detect Scripts: Enable automatic detection and blocking of tracking scripts

Automatic Updates

This plugin supports automatic updates via GitHub. When a new release is published, WordPress will notify you of the available update in the Plugins page.

Creating a Release

1. Update the version number in the-brandsmen-cookie-consent.php:

   • In the plugin header: Version: X.X.X
   • In the constant: define('TBCC_VERSION', 'X.X.X');

2. Commit your changes:

   git add .
   git commit -m "Version X.X.X - Description of changes"

3. Create a tag matching the version:

   git tag vX.X.X
   git push origin main --tags

4. Go to GitHub → Releases → Create new release

5. Select your tag and publish the release
