Provides a Deuna Payment Gateway for WooCommerce, allowing customers to pay via QR code or a mobile payment link.

Description

This plugin integrates Deuna as a payment method in your WooCommerce store. When a customer chooses Deuna at checkout, they will be presented with:

  • A QR code to scan with their Deuna app.
  • A payment link, ideal for completing the purchase on a mobile device.

These payment details will also be included in the order confirmation email sent to the customer.

This plugin is designed to be similar in flow to the standard "Direct Bank Transfer" (BACS) gateway, where the order is placed and marked as "on-hold" until payment is confirmed (manually or via a future webhook integration with Deuna).

Installation

  1. Download the deuna-woocommerce-plugin zip file (if applicable) or clone the repository.
  2. Upload the deuna-woocommerce-plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory on your WordPress site.
  3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  4. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments (or Checkout) and enable "Deuna Payments".
  5. Configure the settings for the Deuna gateway, including the title, description, and instructions for customers. You may need to add API keys or specific URLs provided by Deuna in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the QR code generated?

Currently, the plugin references a placeholder image (assets/images/placeholder-qr.png). For a live version, you would integrate with Deuna's API or a QR code generation service/library to create dynamic QR codes based on order details (amount, order ID, etc.).

How is the payment link generated?

The payment link is currently a placeholder (e.g., deuna://pay?order_id=...). This would need to be a valid deep link structure provided by Deuna, incorporating necessary order details.

How are payments confirmed?

Similar to BACS, this initial version places orders "on-hold". Payment confirmation would typically be manual by the store admin, or ideally, automated via a webhook notification from Deuna to your site. Implementing webhook handling would be an advanced feature for future development.

Where do I put the placeholder QR image?

You should create a directory assets/images/ inside the deuna-woocommerce-plugin folder and place an image named placeholder-qr.png there. You can also add a deuna-icon.png for the checkout option.
