Install

Download cl-plugin-weather-widget.zip From the v1.0.3 release on GitHub, Oct 5, 2026

Upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/choctaw-nation/cl-plugin-weather-widget/releases/download/v1.0.3/cl-plugin-weather-widget.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Choctaw Landing Plugin: Weather Widget

Plugin that creates data fetching from open-source Weather API.

Overview

  1. API Key is set via custom Options Page (“Weather Widget API”)
  2. Plugin schedules a cron to fetch data every 12 hours and store it in a transient (Plugin_Loader::TRANSIENT_KEY).
  3. Classes in inc/Public are meant for use within the theme.
