This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/brcre001/custom-slider-block-plugin/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A WordPress Gutenberg block plugin that creates an interactive slider with text and images.

Usage

  1. Install and activate the plugin
  2. Add the "Custom Slider" block to any post or page
  3. Click "Add Slide" to create new slides
  4. For each slide:
    • Enter text content
    • Upload or select an image
    • Use the arrow buttons to preview slides
  5. Use the Settings panel to toggle text position

Development

Prerequisites

  • Node.js and npm installed
  • WordPress development environment

Setup

  1. Clone the repository
  2. Run npm install to install dependencies
  3. Use npm run build to compile assets
  4. Activate the plugin in WordPress

  • src/ - Source files
  • index.js - Main block registration and edit component
  • style.css - Frontend styles
  • editor.css - Editor-specific styles
