This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/bhanujallandhra/offload-orphaned-media/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Directly pushes orphaned files to cloud storage via WP Offload Media with public ACL enforcement and dependency checks.

Description

This plugin scans your WordPress uploads directory for files that exist on your server but are not registered in the Media Library. It then pushes these "orphaned" files directly to your configured cloud storage (e.g., AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces) via WP Offload Media.

Requirements

WordPress 5.8 or higher
PHP 7.4 or higher

Installation

Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/orphaned-media-handler directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' screen in WordPress.
Ensure WP Offload Media is installed and configured.
Navigate to Tools → Offload Orphans to use the plugin.
