Chroma

Plugin Banner

Colour palette generator to display an interactive colour palette tool.

Description

Chroma adds an interactive colour palette generator to any page or post via the [chroma] shortcode. Enter or link to a hex colour and Chroma displays its base swatch alongside complementary, triadic, analogous, and monochromatic colour schemes, plus a row of tints and shades.

Each generated palette shows the colour's HSL values and its nearest named colour. A palette can also be linked to directly using a ?color= URL parameter (e.g. ?color=007FFF), which updates the page title to match the colour shown.

The step size used to generate tints and shades (1-5%) can be configured from the settings page.

This plugin is multisite compatible; each site will need settings to be configured in the admin dashboard.

  • Activate the plugin.
