A lightweight WordPress plugin that adds an Archive Title display condition to Elementor Pro. It lets you show or hide any widget or container based on the specific taxonomy archive page being viewed.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0+
  • Elementor (free)
  • Elementor Pro

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository
  2. Upload the elementor-archive-title-condition folder to wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate the plugin via Plugins → Installed Plugins

Usage

  1. Open any page in the Elementor editor
  2. Select a widget or container and open its Advanced tab
  3. Under Display Conditions, add a new condition
  4. Choose Archive → Archive Title from the condition list
  5. Set the comparator to Is or Is Not
  6. Search for and select one or more taxonomy archives (categories, tags, or any publicly queryable custom taxonomy)

The condition evaluates at runtime: if the visitor is on a matching taxonomy archive page, the comparator determines whether the element is shown or hidden.

Notes

  • Covers taxonomy archives only (categories, tags, custom taxonomies). For author archives, use Elementor Pro's built-in Of Authors condition.
  • Search results are labeled with their taxonomy name (e.g. Category: Technology) to distinguish terms that share the same name across different taxonomies.
  • Registered via Elementor Pro's official elementor/display_conditions/register hook, so it is compatible with future Elementor Pro updates.
