This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/avocadowebservices/avo-cookie-consest/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Cookie Consest - WordPress Plugin

Description: Cookie Consest is a simple and elegant cookie consent plugin for WordPress. This plugin helps website owners comply with cookie regulations by displaying a cookie consent bar and allowing users to manage their preferences.

Installation:

  1. Upload via WordPress Admin
  2. Download the latest release from GitHub.
  3. Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
  4. Click Upload Plugin and select the cookie-consest.zip file.
  5. Click Install Now and then Activate.

Manual Installation:

  1. Extract the cookie-consest.zip file.
  2. Upload the cookie-consest folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  3. Activate the plugin from the Plugins menu in WordPress.

Usage:

  1. Once activated, the cookie consent bar appears at the bottom of the site.
  2. Users can Accept, Reject, or open Settings to customize their preferences.
  3. The plugin saves choices and ensures compliance with cookie regulations.

Customization:

  • You can modify the appearance of the cookie consent bar by editing the cookie-consent-style.css file inside the plugin folder.
