This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/asrafuldev/holy-quran-quotes/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A simple WordPress plugin that displays a random short Ayah from the Holy Quran (in Arabic, Bangla, or English) in the admin dashboard.

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository into your WordPress wp-content/plugins directory.
  2. Ensure both holy-quran-quotes.php and quran-ayahs.php are present in the plugin folder.
  3. Activate the plugin from the WordPress admin dashboard.

Usage

  • After activation, a random Ayah will appear in your WordPress admin dashboard.
  • The dashboard widget displays the Ayah in all three languages.

Customization

  • Add or edit Ayahs in the quran-ayahs.php file.
  • The plugin automatically chooses a random Ayah and language for display.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • PHP 7.0 or higher
