Database abstraction layer for WordPress using Doctrine DBAL. Enables WordPress to work with multiple database backends including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and custom storage backends.

Requirements

  • PHP 8.1+

Installation

  1. Clone or download to wp-content/plugins/wp-dbal
  2. Run composer install
  3. Activate the plugin in WordPress admin
  4. Install the db.php drop-in from Tools > WP-DBAL
