This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/animals-now/an-admin-notice/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Plugin Name

Display a custom notice to all users in the WordPress admin.

Description

Admin Notice is a very simple plugin that allows you to display custom notices in the WordPress admin that is visible to all users.

Control over the notice text and styling is available from the plugin's settings page.

Developers can use the admin_notice_enable hook to control the notice's visibility on a more granular level. The following example demonstrates how to show the notice only in the "Posts" area of the admin.

Installation

Upload admin-notice to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
Plugin options will be available under Settings → Admin Notice
