This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/amalter/carousel_block/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

UWKC Carousel Block

Description

A custom WordPress Gutenberg Carousel Block built for uwkc.org using the @wordpress/create-block starter kit. Written with ESNext standard and JSX support – build step required.

Built with the Tiny Slider 2 JavaScript library. It displays a caoursel/slider layout with user settings to change layout in the WordPress editor.

Installation

  1. Either:
    • Download the zip of this repository and install via WordPress admin. (Or manually add extracted zip folder to plugins folder)
    • Or, use terminal to cd into plugins folder and clone this repository.
  2. cd into /plugins/uwkc-carousel-block/ and run npm install to install the node_modules package for the project.

Updating code

  • Inside /plugins/uwkc-carousel-block/, you can run the following commands during development and build:
    • npm start Starts the build for development
    • npm run build Builds the code for production
    • npm run format Formats files
    • npm run lint:css Lints CSS files.
    • npm run lint:js Lints JavaScript files.
    • npm run packages-update Updates WordPress packages to the latest version.
