This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/acemedia/ace-term-rename/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Ace Term Rename is a one-shot, reversible taxonomy term rename. You can preview it, run it and roll it back from the Tools screen or with WP-CLI, then deactivate and delete the plugin. It also deals with the places a plain rename misses, such as block navigation labels.

It ships with one example job, retiring a "propaganda" category in favour of "mischief". Add your own jobs with the ace_term_rename_jobs filter.

Installation

Download this repository, or clone it into wp-content/plugins/.
Activate Ace Term Rename on the Plugins screen.

Status

This is a development release. I have not yet put it through the WordPress.org review, so expect rough edges and please tell me about them.
