A minimal, build-free Gutenberg block plugin that displays a customizable copyright line. Ready to upload to your WordPress wp-content/plugins/ folder or push to GitHub.

Installation (local)

  1. Download and unzip the folder.
  2. Copy the folder gutenberg-copyright-block into wp-content/plugins/.
  3. Activate the plugin in WordPress admin → Plugins.
  4. In the block editor, search for "Copyright" and add the block.

Installation (GitHub workflow)

  1. Create a new GitHub repository.
  2. Push this folder to the repo:
    git init
git add .
git commit -m "Initial commit: Gutenberg Copyright Block"
git branch -M main
git remote add origin git@github.com:youruser/yourrepo.git
git push -u origin main

Notes

  • This plugin uses WordPress' built-in block editor JS globals (wp.blocks, wp.element, wp.blockEditor, wp.components), so it does not require a build step.
  • Tested on WordPress 6.x. For older versions ensure Gutenberg is available.
