Tippin.me for WordPress allows you to easily integrate Tippin.me links below your WordPress posts to accept Bitcoin Lightning donations.

Detailed Description

Tippin.me is advertised as a service to receive tips and micro-payments everywhere with a Lightning Network wallet that you can cash out at anytime. Tippin.me makes using the Lightning Network easier, by giving you a simple web custodial wallet to receive and manage Bitcoins through the Lightning Network.

This WordPress plugin adaptation was built to enable easier integration of Tippin.me payment buttons on WordPress. It automatically adds a button at the bottom of all of your WordPress posts which link through to the hosted Tippin.me service for receiving lighting tips.

WARNING:

Tippin.me relies on both third party lightning nodes and servers controlled by Tippin.me - but not the creators of this plugin. Additionally the lightning network software is in beta and considered high risk. Please perform your own due diligence before using this plugin.

Installation

  1. Upload tippin.me-for-wordpress to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Go to the Tippin.Me page under the Settings menu.
  4. Enter your Tippin.me username and hit save.

Note: You will need to sign up with an account at Tippin.me to use this plugin
